about

You've probably been to other sites where this section gives details about the webmaster and their domains, etcetera, etc... Well, this one does too!

Me/Myself/I

I am a twenty-something single Asian-American female college-graduate, living outside the U.S. mainland in a household that includes my mom, dad, and brat sisters. The End. (No, seriously...) :-|

Okay, fine! Find out more about me from my blog, nosy weirdo my dear visitor!

My personal experience with the Internet started in early 1999, when my fanily procurred our very first personal computer. At the time, only two households in our neighborhood had PCs (mostly the well-off ones) and we'd only ever used computers at the school libraries. So, it was a "big deal" to us that we got one. I was the first of my family to sign-up for an e-mail account (yay!) and instantly became a web-surfin' junkie. Then, I discovered website publishing...the rest, as they say, is guacamole history... Do you really want to know more?

Since early 2001, I've been using the name/alias Waltz195 in my web endeavors. It's not really reflective of me per se; I chose it at random from an e-mail sign-up form suggestion (eck)... I have since just shortened it to Waltz, because the numbers don't really mean anything anyway. It still makes for an odd name, but I like it well enough and haven't been bothered to change it, y'know?

The Domain

DreamWaltz.Net was purchased from Surpass Domains in August of 2004 (presently with GoDaddy.com) and is hosted by Surpass Hosting. These services were chosen because of their internet reputation and customer reviews. I have not been disappointed; their services remain reliable, timely, and they are affordable enough for a poor college student newly-graduated-bum like me. :-)

The name "DreamWaltz" was eventually settled on because the webmistress is not only (somewhat) egotistical but also (mildly) unimaginative. Slap together "dream" (because we all have 'em) and "waltz" (duh), add a ".net", and you have this wayward result. It's not gonna win any awards or anything, but it works for me!

Currently, I am enjoying being a "webmistress" and hope to add more content to this domain as time goes on. Other than that, I really don't know what to say...

EAT MORE CHEESE! ;-)

Current Layout

Fish in the Sky
I created this layout with a photo from a family trip to Australia in 2007. The fish sculptures are actually part of the pool area at the end of the Promenade, a sort of "boardwalk" on the coast of Cairns. It was a nice picture, so I just threw a filter/blend mode on there and voila!, a layout! :-)

The icons used in this layout are made by me. Feel free to get them yourself here.
