Much of the following explains how I came about being a fan of the Trowa & Catherine relationship, especially the romantic possibilities of it (3xCB). These statements are mainly my opinions, my responses to other possible opinions, and are labeled as such. Please read all of it thoroughly to best understand this.

Who are Trowa & Catherine?

(contains minor spoilers)

Trowa and Catherine are two characters from the popular anime series Gundam Wing and the Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz OVA, both of which take place in the After Colony era.

Trowa Barton is a Gundam pilot (operator of a large mecha battle suit) from the L3 colony cluster. He is originally sent down to Earth as part of a rebel force to destroy Oz units. He is mostly expressionless and ruthlessly efficient in battle, concentrating solely on the mission. As a disguise, Trowa joins a circus troupe and performs with them during their travels. There he meets Catherine...

Catherine Bloom is a knife thrower and all-around performer at the circus. She initally thinks Trowa is a little "strange". As she gets to know him, she is intrigued by his stoic nature and worries that he has little care for his own welfare. Caring and strong-willed, Catherine helps Trowa come to realize that his life is not insignificant or ruled only by battle.

During the course of the series, you come to see how they develop a special relationship. Catherine tries to get him to open up more and protect him from harm, even if it is from himself. With her help, Trowa finds a different purpose in life, besides battle, and protects her as well.

Why make a fanlisting for them?

To me, Trowa & Catherine have a special sort of relationship, one you could only achieve with someone who truly cares about you and understands you and why you do the things you do.

Throughout the series, these two do what they can to keep the other from harm (even painfully in Trowa's case). Catherine shields Trowa from his nightmares during his amnesia & Trowa diverts from a mission to save her from an attack. They have a mutual understanding of what needs to be done. Catherine tries to stop Trowa from fighting but realizes he must, to truly find himself again. Trowa understands her protectiveness and assures her everything will be okay.

Basically, these two just "clicked" for me when I was watching the series. Because of this, I think they are a wonderful pair of friends who could possibly develop into much more... =)

They're brother and sister! It said so in Episode Zero, it's official.

Okay, first off, Episode Zero came out after the original series. Technically, it is not "canon". It was written by a different staff and delved into the "possibilities" of what the characters' pasts could have been like. I say "possibilities" because some events in the manga just don't make sense to me.

Trowa's Episode Zero chapter, and some alternate novelizations of the series, hint at the possibility of Trowa being Catherine's sister. But, they never come out and say it or really confirm it. Which leaves a broad range of interpretation as to the true nature of their pasts...

Ew, incest?!?! That's gross!

NO! I DO NOT support incest of any kind! It is my personal opinion that Trowa and Catherine are NOT siblings, which can lead to the possibility of them having a romantic relationship. Again, this is MY opinion, which I am entitled to.

Also, in accordance with TAFL & TFL rules, I accept fans who prefer the friendship and sibling relationships of the two.

Episode Zero is real! Trowa & Midii are meant to be together!

I've already explained my views on Episode Zero, you are entitled to your own. As for Midii...the girl has issues. Behaving bitterly about family she "cares" about, thinking she loves/hates a guy she met in a few days, betraying that same guy, and saying that working as a spy is the only way to support her family... Would Trowa really have a stable relationship with this girl?

Besides, this is a Trowa & Catherine fanlisting, for the Trowa & Catherine relationship. Look elsewhere for Trowa & Midii... I can't be more clear than that!

Nobody else supports 3xCB!

Hey, think what you will, I've already had my say... Of course there are other fans of 3xCB out there. They may not be as plentiful or visible as other pairing supporters, but they exist. In fact, in Japan, there are other GW merchandise that supports Trowa being romantically interested in Catherine, some are even official. I've heard of soundtrack CDs, radio dramas, anime magazine articles, and doujinshi that focus on 3xCB.

So, yes, other people also believe Trowa & Catherine could be a romantic couple.

That is your opinion, which you have a right to, but, once again, this IS a Trowa & Catherine fanlisting, which covers ALL possibles aspects of their relationship.
