What is a fanlisting?

Who are Wufei and Sally?
Chang Wufei and Sally Po are two characters from the anime series Gundam Wing. Wufei is the pilot of the Shenlong Gundam, which he calls Nataku. Sally is a major in the Earth Sphere Alliance military.
~ SPOILERS AHEAD! ~
These two are connected (somewhat) through various people, even before they meet face to face. Sally had already met Heero, a fellow Gundam pilot, and Wufei pretty much blew up all Oz forces he came across. (Oz was still considered a part of the ESA military.)
They finally meet in China, where Wufei retreated to find himself after his defeat by Treize. Sally was there carrying out guerrilla attacks on the encroaching Oz forces. (You go, girl!)
Wufei had lost all confidence in himself, saying he was weak and did not deserve to pilot Nataku. (Stubborn, warrior stoic mentality...) Sally sensed this and tried to tell him that even the weak can fight and find purpose.
It doesn't really sink in for him, until the rebel group Sally was leading was attacked and outnumbered. Wufei refused to use his Gundam and everything around them was getting blown up. So, Sally gets up and walks towards an enemy mobile suit, completely unarmed. Seeing her conviction, Wufei springs into action and runs off to pilot Nataku again, defeating all the enemies, naturally.
After that, Wufei and Sally share a sense of camraderie and a mutual understanding of each other. They part ways, Wufei to carry on his other missions, Sally to other parts of the world, leading resistance forces. (She likes to keep busy. ^-^)
They meet again, many episodes later, on Peacemillion. (At least, we assume they do, since they're on the same ship and all.) Sally helps direct operations and Wufei, of course, fights in his Gundam.
And, finally, in Endless Waltz, Sally finds him once again in China, destroying his Gundam. She asks him to become her new Preventer partner and he accepts, with a smile.
Why make a fanlisting?
Wufei and Sally are undoubtedly strong. In skills, beliefs, and overall personality, both of them are very appealing in this regard.
Wufei may come across to most people as arrogant and rude, but it is because he knows his capabilities. His sense of honor causes him to refuse fighting directly with those weaker than him; it would seem unfair. Thus, he is disgraced by his own weaknesses. But he fights on, because he cannot stand injustice.
Sally is also a warrior, courageous and full of heart. She has her strengths, but she also knows she has weaknesses. Despite not being "the strongest", she does not stop fighting for what she believes in.
Seeing them interact, I believe that they can see these features in each other and understand how it shapes who they are and help them grow. They have a connection, a friendship of sorts. And the possibility of something more...
What about a romantic relationship?
Thought there isn't much support for it in the series, I believe that Wufei and Sally could also become a romantic couple. (5xS) My main reason for thinking so is that they understand each other well.
They share a common interest in fighting for peace and know what it is like to give up everything for the "greater good". Being warriors, they've had to become strong; mentally, physically, and emotionally.
If they did become a couple, I think Wufei would benefit most. He is so bound by his code and tradition that he hasn't learned to see beyond that. I think Sally would help him learn to ease up on himself and enjoy life more, focus on something other than fighting. And he would cherish and protect her, even when she can protect herself.
Beyond that...who knows? ^_^
