SITE INFORMATION

Welcome to the site information page, where you can learn all about the site's status, production, and the history behind it. Plus, if you're really interested (or just plain bored), there's even a few tidbits about me. ^___^

Webmistress: Waltz (Waltz195)

Site Production:

All current and former versions of the site were made with great effort by the webmistress, Waltz (Waltz195). Graphics were created in Adobe Photoshop 7 and scripting was completed in MS Notepad and Dreamweaver MX.

Any reproduction of the site's graphics, script, or content is frowned upon, however, a request for permission to do so may be made to the webmistress in the form of an e-mail. All other Gundam Wing info and images are copyright of Bandai, Sotsu, and Sunrise companies. Original fanworks are copyright their respective owners.

Site History:

Born on May 28, 2001, Array of Stars was a relatively small Gundam Wing fansite, made to show the appreciation of the series by the webmistress, a newly anointed fan of the popular anime series New Mobile Suit History Gundam Wing. Waltz became a diligent fan of the show, which ran from March 2000 (series) to the later part of 2001 (OVA) on Toonami.

Upon completing the first run of the series, the then html-newbie Waltz was ecstatic about the idea of creating a website for this marvel of television entertainment. Set upon this goal, Waltz scoured the web for info, images, and data pertaining to the show. Then, determined, she chose a partially reliable free webhost (*cough*geocities*cough*) and tried to piece it all together. Unfortunately, after many hours of cursing and failed "*-Builder" attempts, our webmistress was deterred.

Giving up for a while, Waltz decided to be a fan instead, until she either learned HTML or died trying. By some act of divine origin, her problems were answered, with the help of a very kind young webmistress named Chris.

Having submitted rudimentary fanfiction works to her website, Waltz was delighted to learn Chris could help with her dilemma. And so, after many questions, webhost changes, and circulating layouts, the final base of the site was established.

Dedication:

As stated earlier, this site would not have been where it is today without the help of Chris, a superb webmistress and a great friend. Thank you! ^____^ <3

Site Statement:

If you are a relatively new fan to Gundam Wing you may not know what all the fuss is about 'yaoi/yuri' or 'non-yaoi/non-yuri'. Well, it goes like this.

First off, 'yaoi/yuri' is the pairing of couples of the same gender, boy/boy and girl/girl respectively, and is a bit more sexually oriented than 'shounen-ai/shoujo-ai'. In Gundam Wing fandom there are many sides, the yaoi/yuri-supporters and the non-yaoi/non-yuri supporters, who either support 'yaoi/yuri' or 'non-yaoi/non-yuri' couples of the series. Then there are the in-between supporters who pair whichever characters they want. Such is the way of fandom.

However, despite the largely yaoi-supportive presence in Gundam Wing fandom, the series itself has no proof of this. Yaoi-supporters may argue this, but really, the show is about war and peace. Romantic relationships between the characters aren't what the creators were focusing on.

Array of Stars is 'non-yaoi/non-yuri', meaning we don't support 'yaoi' or 'yuri' couples. We can respect the opinions of other people on the subject of fandom coupling, we just don't agree or support them. In return, we hope for the same respect and courtesy from the viewers, regardless of personal preference in this regard.

About the Webmistress:

Wow, you really must be bored, huh? To actually want to know about me. Or... Could it be you are actually curious? ^^; Either way, here's the lowdown on little ole me.

Name/Alias: Waltz,Waltz195 (either one is fine)
Gender: Female (didn't you catch that above?)
Age: younger than dirt, but older than a gundam pilot XP
Personality: a bit like Lady Une's actually...
Self-Evaluation: I'm your basic anime-loving fan. I appreciate both dub and sub. I watch almost anything I can get my hands on. Especially mecha series. I prefer non-yaoi anime. I have limited personal access to anime, so I love the cable company and media networks for putting them out on t.v. I am also a webmistress, creating mostly anime-related sites in the process. And that's basically it. That is me. ;^)

What? Were you expecting more? Ok, fine...

Fave GW episode: How can I choose just one?
Fave GW character: How can I choose just one?
Fave GW pilot: Heero Yuy (Gotcha! ^^)
Fave GW mecha: Wing Zero Custom (Endless Waltz)
Fave GW quote: "I will survive!" - Heero Yuy (*thinks of famous song*) XD
Fave GW couple: Heero & Relena (1xR) All the way! ;^)
Fave aspect of GW: The plot was very intricate, combining the complications of war, human emotions, principles, and the existence of all life into one majorly in-depth series, along with superior mecha designs... (Yeah, right! It was the bishounen!) XP

Well, that's all I can tell you for now. If you want to learn even more, then...you're just plain weird! Stalker! XD Just kidding...
